VAMPIRE FACIAL

PRP Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy

Vampire Facial or PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy is a skin rejuvenation treatment. It is often called a “Vampire Facial" because it uses the patient’s own blood. Platelets found in plasma are removed from a sample of the patient’s blood, then injected into areas of the face to rejuvenate your skin.

The plasma, when injected into specific areas of the skin, acts as a booster that promotes collagen to grow, regenerates tissue, and thus will help naturally smooth and tighten the skin.

The treatment is non-invasive and patients can resume normal activity almost immediately after the procedure.

Blood is collected from you in 1-2 specially designed tubes which are then centrifuged for 5-10 minutes.

During centrifugation, a patented gel within the tubes isolates PRP from other unrequired cells within the blood.

PRP is then ready for application by injection back into the skin.

PRP TREATMENT IS  SUITABLE FOR:

  • Tired and dry skin, laxity of skin, uneven pigmentation

  • Signs of skin ageing

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Overall texture and tone improvement

  • Certain types of alopecia or general hair thinning

  • Stimulates collagen growth and natural skin regrowth and renewal.

  • People looking for a natural treatment using the body’s own healing process

  • Stimulates collagen growth and natural skin regrowth and renewal

  • Healthier skin that looks and feels healthier.

This treatment involves the use of an ‘aerating’ MicroPen for microneedling or collagen induction therapy.

The MicroPen is used to gently aerate the skin, and then a topical cream is applied serums or skincare products.

The tiny micro-perforations made by the MicroPen allow for easier absorption of serum, product or even your own Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP); hence the name Vampire Facial.  The MicroPen has proven extremely useful in the treatment of skin scarring, acne, sun damage and a host of other skin care procedures.
